Email: mark.evans@tildesley-tonks.co.uk Mark is Managing Director and a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years' wide-ranging experience - both in practice and industry. He studied accountancy at Wolverhampton Polytechnic and in 1983 and 1984 won the Institute of Chartered Accountants professional exam first prizes for the Wolverhampton, Staffordshire and Shropshire area. In 1984 he joined Touche Ross & Co in Birmingham. Two years later he was sent on secondment to Luxembourg to handle the liquidation of the Banco Ambrosiano - a task which involved delving into the murky world of The Godfather. Mark's role helped Touche Ross recover a large portion of the 100 million dollars owed to creditors by the Mafia and its associates. Mark took over at Tildesley & Tonks in 1995 and has cultivated the firm's reputation as an approachable, forward-thinking practice. Email: kaye@tildesley-tonks.co.uk Kaye worked for the Inland Revenue for more than 10 years and whilst she refuses to say exactly when, admits that it was "in the dark old days before computers, when tax officers actually knew something about tax". She has worked for almost 20 years in small, medium and large accountancy practices in the West Midlands area. This experience has demonstrated that "the personal touch", which is high on her list of priorities, is all too often a casualty of expansion. She was happy, therefore, to join Tildesley & Tonks in 1999, bringing her experience to the tax department, and adding her support to a now extremely efficient and professional team.
Email: dawn@tildesley-tonks.co.uk Dawn joined us in 1997. She has worked for accountancy practices for over 20 years with only a bit of time off for 'good behaviour' to raise a family. She is a qualified member of the ACCA and is the right person to talk to for accounting software solutions - an additional area in which she has expertise and experience to offer advice and training.

previous experience, which included 8 years with an
accountancy firm, together with her secretarial and
organisational skills, ensured that we were soon knocked
into shape. Her friendly and outgoing demeanour with
colleagues and clients alike makes her an essential
and important member of the team. Oh yes, and she
makes a great cup of tea!
Email: amy@tildesley-tonks.co.uk Amy joined us in September 2003, and despite her young age has accumulated considerable experience having worked for numerous accountancy practices throughout the West Midlands area. Her practical experience is wide ranging from working on the accounts and audits for small, medium and large enterprises. She has a number of qualifications and certificates and is currently studying her ACCA.

of Fashion. Her career diverged into her father's
business getting involved with finance. She continued
with accounts and bookkeeping and now has 20 years
experience. Although married with a family, she still
likes to keep active in accountancy.
Email: karis@tildesley-tonks.co.uk Karis Baker, joined us as an Audit Senior in January 2005. she has worked in practice since 1999 and qualified as a member of the ACCA in the Summer of 2003 at the tender age of 21. This was quite an achievement and we're hoping that this enthusiasm for the profession and her other passion for keeping fit, will help to keep us all on our toes.
Jill joined the team in January 2007. Although qualified in Housing Management she has spent 25 years bookkeeping for small and medium sized companies. Many of these have been registered charities, so she is aware of the complex nature of charity funding. She keeps active when not working - enjoying walking her labrador, swimming and badminton.
