Are you eligible for R&D Tax Relief?
Tildesley & Tonks have joined forces with Government Grants & Tax Consultants (GGTC) to bring this exciting tax beak to innovative businesses in the Black Country.
Since 1 August 2008, SMEs are able to obtain tax relief for 175% of their qualifying expenditure on Research & Development (R&D). This equates to a 36.75% tax saving for a company with profits below £300,000.
For companies making losses, they can surrender the R&D tax relief in exchange for a 14% tax credit paid back to the company.
Qualifying expenditure usually relates to employees involved in research and development but also covers other overhead and direct expenditure including subcontracted work.
Tildesley & Tonks work closely with GGTC to ensure that the tax claim process is as painless as possible for the client. Together, we believe that there are many SMEs in the Black Country who are eligible for this relief without being aware of it. It is a misconception that it is only available to companies employing ‘men in white coats’. It is relevant to manufacturing, engineering, electronics, communications, media, publishing and transport companies who, in order to compete and survive in the current world economy, have developed new processes and explored specialised and niche markets.
GGTC have specialised in R&D claims for companies since 2006 and have a 100% success rate to date.
